Written on 3rd June 2024

The Greater Manchester Further Innovation Programme aims to increase the role of Further Education Colleges in the expansion of innovation support to improve productivity across Greater Manchester.

There are exciting new roles across Greater Manchester to deliver this initiative including:

Apprentice Innovation Ambassador Coordinators

Apprentice Innovation Ambassadors (AIAs) are existing apprentices from a range of courses, who complete Innovation Literacy training that’s additional to their main programme, so that they have the confidence and capability to identify and support productivity improvements in their workplace.

The GMFEIP programme will fund an Apprenticeship Innovation Ambassador Coordinator (AIAC) in every Greater Manchester borough, their role will be to support training delivery and promote the programme to apprentices and their employers and celebrate successes.
