Students across all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester are now served by Ofsted rated ‘Good’ General Further Education Colleges.
Following the recent positive inspection outcome for Trafford College Group, a group that has involved the merger of Trafford College, Stockport College and more recently, Cheadle & Marple Sixth Form College, all nine of our colleges across the Greater Manchester region have been recognised by educational inspectorate, Ofsted as Good. This ensures that students studying with us continue to receive a high quality level of education, which includes T Levels, Apprenticeships, A Levels and a range of other qualifications and vocational studies.
In the last five years all of our colleges have undergone a stringent inspection process which focuses on the quality of teaching, support given to learners and staff, leadership and management, apprenticeships and educational provision for young people and adults.
Chair of the Greater Manchester Colleges Group, Anna Dawe explained, “This is a fantastic achievement for the city region to have such a strong group of colleges who are all committed to supporting our region’s students and delivering the highest quality technical education possible. It is recognition of the dedicated teams we have working across the GMCG and all of our members are committed to building on this success. Working with the Mayor and the Combined Authority we are well positioned to deliver the vision of Greater Manchester as the leading technical-education city region” .
