We recently hosted an LSIF conference which focused on one of the greatest changes we’re currently facing in Further Education – AI Insights for Senior Leaders: Navigating Tomorrow’s Opportunities’.
Deborah Millar, Executive Director of Digital Transformation at Hull College delivered an interactive workshop on the use of AI, which included an overview of AI, the latest tools available and how staff can safely and effectively use these to support them in their role.
The team looked at how this can support any role to reduce workload whilst improving quality and ultimately enhance the learner experience.
Hosted at Tameside College, the conference was a huge success and a fantastic opportunity to interact, network, share ideas and engage in personal and professional development.
Karen Anderton, Head of Teach and Learning at Wigan & Leigh College, explained, “This event provided the perfect opportunity for GMColleges leaders to come together and consider how to effectively embed AI across all college functions, whilst also prioritising safe working practices and maintaining professional integrity. We are now looking at potential next steps including a GMColleges AI Group to upskill staff in a range of different college roles by providing high quality CPD and networking opportunities.”
