Developing Innovation Ambassadors in the Workplace

GMCA have committed to funding £100,000 to continue the pioneering Innovation Literacy Programme, which equips apprentices and employees from a wide range of sectors with the skills and confidence to become champions for innovation within their organisations.

The Programme, which is accredited by OCN London, is designed to take apprentices through the full innovation journey, from idea generation to testing and communication, equipping them to turn ideas into real-world impact that drives growth in the economy.

Building Innovation Skills for the Future Workforce

The programme is also supporting businesses to adapt to new technologies and helping local people develop the higher-level skills required to ensure Greater Manchester can lead the next industrial revolution.

Our National Innovation Skills Competition, held at The Lowry brought together hundreds of apprentices who had completed the course and were putting their skills into practice in their workplaces.
